Privacy Policy
Pawsport · updated 5 August 2026
Pawsport (“we”, “the app”) is a dog care service: a vet passport, health reminders, shared family care and help finding lost dogs. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how we protect it. By using the app you agree to this policy.
What we collect
- Account: email, name, and sign-in details from Google or Apple if you choose to sign in that way.
- Your dog: name, breed, date of birth, sex, photos, microchip number, weight, notes and any documents you add.
- Care and activity: reminders, entries you tick off (fed, walked and so on), care history.
- Lost dog searches: if you start a search or report a dog you found — the place, the time, a contact phone number, photos and the location you provide.
- Location: only when you turn on “alerts nearby” or place a point on the map. Coordinates are rounded to a neighbourhood and stay mostly on your device.
- Push subscription: a technical device identifier used to deliver notifications, if you turn them on.
Why we use it
- To make the app work: store your dog's records, send reminders, show the passport.
- So a family can care for the same dog together, in real time.
- To help bring a lost dog home: show the notice to people nearby and let them get in touch.
- We do not sell your data and we do not show ads based on it.
Who can see your data
- Your family — the people you invite — can see the records of the dogs you share.
- Lost and found notices, including the phone number in them, are visible to other people using the app. That is what makes a return possible. Please don't put anything there you wouldn't share publicly.
- We rely on established infrastructure providers (Supabase for the database and sign-in, Netlify for hosting, Resend and Google for email, Cloudflare for storage and network). They process data only to provide that service to us.
Storage and protection
Data is kept in a secured database with per-family access rules (Row Level Security), so only members of your family can reach your family's records. We keep your data for as long as your account exists.
Your rights
- Access and correction: every record about your dog can be viewed and edited in the app.
- Delete a dog: Pawsport tab → “Delete dog profile”.
- Delete your account: your profile has “Delete account” — it permanently removes your account and the data tied to it.
- If you are in the EEA or the UK, you also have the right to object to processing, to request a copy of your data, and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
- Privacy questions: pesport.app@gmail.com.
Children
The app is not intended for anyone under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
We may update this policy. If something material changes, we will say so in the app or by email.
